This particular week was absolutely amazing! Six women with very different personalities came together in such a beautiful, blessed way and created friendships that will last a lifetime. The magic discovered in the trees and the lessons learned from the water will remain a part of all of us. The moose blessed us with their majestic presence and every aspect of this experience was perfect. Let me share a few words from participants:
"Brandi, you run a tight ship and I liked it. Six women with contrasting personalities could have been chaotic but, under your guidance it was smooth. Your house has every comfort. You made us feel completely at home with access to whatever we needed. Your knowledge, guidance, instruction, and patience were key to our success. The pace of the hikes was good and by the time we were on the last hike I felt conditioned and seasoned and able to fully enjoy the surroundings. Constructive criticism can be really helpful, and I wouldn't hesitate to offer it but, honestly, I don't have any. Keep doing what you're doing. Thank you."
"Here are a few thoughts and observations about my experience with Savory Hiking. It's hard to put into words all the amazing, jaw-dropping, awe inspiring moments, as there were so many. I gained much personal insight and witnessed observations about myself through my lens of the world. Suffice it to say, I feel profoundly changed. I loved all your glimpses of how nature's ecosystems are mirrors for how we can better operate as human communities. Again, my journey continues "off trail" as I feel more aware of my activities of daily living and how awesome they can be as well.
The reflective discussions and exercises were amazing. I feel they allowed me to get to know each of the women in our group honestly and authentically in a short period of time. I learned so much by listening to the insight of what others offered and what they experienced. It was an amazing group of women. I feel I could call any one of them at any time to flush out an idea, to say hello, laugh or share. I loved learning how to actually use hiking poles. My legs didn't feel sore at all. Lastly, the moose! I don't think I'll ever forget this experience. Thank you for your photos and your amazing eye for all things. I hope to see you again soon."
